Northern-plains fare cooked over an open hearth, inside the Jasper Hotel. A lovely date-night pick.
Blackbird Woodfire
Creative wood-fired pizzas and a friendly, buzzy room — easy for groups.
Mezzaluna
Polished but never stuffy — one of Fargo’s best special-occasion rooms, with a great cocktail program.
Würst Bier Hall
House-made sausages, a long communal-table hall, and an enormous beer list. Come hungry.
Vinyl Taco
Tacos and margaritas in a record-lined room — loud, fun, and easy for groups.

Burgers, sandwiches, and local beers in a laid-back downtown spot.
Plaza Azteca
Our favorite Mexican spot in town.
We highly recommend ordering the tableside guacamole.
Rhombus Guys
A relaxed pizza place with specialty pies — and tables you can color on while you wait. Gluten-free pizza available too.

Brewhalla
Drekker Brewing’s wildly imaginative beer hall — part brewery, part market, part playground for adults.
The Toasted Frog
A downtown favorite for wood-fired plates, famous fried pickles, and a serious martini list.
The Drawing Room
An elevated speakeasy hidden in the basement of Mezzaluna — look for the door marked “Apartment Storage.”
Things to Do
Broadway, Downtown
Fargo’s main street — boutiques, record shops, murals, and most of this list within a few walkable blocks.
The Downtown Murals
Fargo is full of murals, and downtown has the biggest concentration — spend some time walking around and see how many you can find.
Fargo Theatre
The restored 1926 art-deco movie house under the iconic marquee — catch an indie film if the timing works.
Plains Art Museum
A genuinely good regional art museum in a converted warehouse, free to visit.
The Wood Chipper
Yes, that wood chipper from the movie, at the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center. The photo op is mandatory.
Red River & Lindenwood Park
Riverside trails, big cottonwoods, and a quiet morning walk if you need a break from the festivities.
Scheels
A sporting-goods store with a full Ferris wheel and interactive displays throughout — worth a wander even if you’re not shopping.
West Acres Mall
Filled with local art alongside a solid variety of stores — worth a stop if you want to shop or just wander somewhere warm.

Bowling lanes, a big arcade, and food all under one roof — fun for every age.

Bowling and an arcade in North Fargo — and the pizza is genuinely really good.

A big indoor playground — a lifesaver for travel-weary little ones with energy to burn.
